A mother of three was forced to have four limbs amputated after doctors failed to treat an infection that occurred following an abortion.

Priscilla Dray, a French woman, went into septic shock after undergoing an abortion at the Pellegrin University Hospital in Bordeaux in 2011. Her case is now coming to light as she seeks justice in court.

She claims she was “left to die” when doctors denied her antibiotics to treat the infection that developed after the procedure.

A month later, Ms. Dray experienced necrosis, which led to the amputation of both legs, her right forearm, and her left hand.

Earlier this week, two doctors from the hospital appeared before the Bordeaux Criminal Court, facing charges of involuntary injury with incapacity.

More than 13 years after her life was forever changed, the court will attempt to determine who is responsible for the chain of events that led to her disfigurement.

This is a deeply tragic story for Ms. Dray, who deserves justice. However, whenever abortion is involved, foremost in our minds should be the unborn baby whose innocent life was taken by the same doctors who failed to properly care for its mother.
