MSI Reproductive Choices, one of the largest abortion providers in the world, has been placing full-page ads in Irish newspapers, warning that the incoming Administration in the US threatens abortion laws around the world.

The ads are clearly referring to possible changes in the offing like the reinstatement of the sometimes referred to ‘Mexico City Policy’ that has in the past blocked U.S. federal funding of overseas abortions, particularly in developing countries. When he came to power, President Biden overturned the decision of the previous administration and opened the door again to federal funding of overseas abortions.

In 2020, abortion provider Marie Stopes International changed its name to MSI Reproductive Choices, to distance itself from its founder’s racist and eugenic beliefs. Also, in 2020, the New York branch of Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in America, publicly apologised and admitted that their founder Margaret Sanger was also a leading promoter of eugenics and racist practices.
