Paul Murphy in the Dáil this week
Hard on the heels of pushing a bill in the Dáil to allow abortion on request up-to-birth, Paul Murphy of People Before Profit-Solidarity is busy speaking up for the rights of badgers! Of course, he’s free to defend wildlife, and plenty of abortion opponents care deeply about animals too. But it’s hard to reconcile how on the one hand, he sees fit to campaign for animal rights while in the same breath pushes relentlessly for changes to the law that would strip unborn human babies of all their rights, right up to the moment of birth!
