100,000 participants took part last Friday in the annual March for Life in Washington, DC, united under the event’s simple theme: “Life is a Gift.”
The speeches were marked by hope and optimism, reflecting the many pro-life advances made since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022. That decision paved the way for states to introduce legal protections aimed at safeguarding the lives of unborn babies. At the same time, speakers acknowledged the significant challenges that remain, stressing the need for constant vigilance in defending the right to life against ongoing efforts to weaken such protections and to stop pro-life laws from passing.
