An Illinois abortionist and his abortion centre have reached a settlement with an Indiana mother who alleged that half of her unborn baby’s body was left inside her following a botched second-trimester abortion.
Jane Doe, a 32-year-old mother of four, settled her medical negligence claims against abortionist Keith Reisinger-Kindle and the Equity Clinic on July 8. An agreed motion to dismiss the case was filed July 24 and approved August 3. The settlement amount was not disclosed.
As reported by Life News, the lawsuit, filed in March 2025 in the Circuit Court of Champaign County, arose from an abortion done on April 1-2, 2023, when Doe was approximately 22 weeks pregnant. She traveled from Indianapolis to the Equity Clinic in Champaign, Illinois which Reisinger-Kindle founded in 2022 after the overturning of Roe v. Wade and where he serves as medical director.
Margie Christie of Dayton Ohio Right to Life said: “This case serves as a grim reminder of the horrors of late-term abortion and the complete disregard for the well-being of both the mother and her child.”
Laura Strietmann, executive director of Cincinnati Right to Life, said: “The fact that this woman was ignored when she said something was wrong and was left to suffer is unconscionable.”
