A Kentucky man has been arrested after allegedly replacing his pregnant girlfriend’s medication with an abortion drug without her knowledge.

Police say 26-year-old Abdullah Mohmand, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, swapped her prescription medication with Misoprostol after repeatedly pressuring her to get an abortion. The woman later reported the incident to Kentucky State Police.

Mohmand was charged with attempted first-degree foetal homicide and is being held at Barren County Corrections Center on a $100,000 cash bond. He is due in Barren District Court for arraignment on June 25.

Coercive abortion and the secret administering of abortion drugs to women are becoming increasingly common – not only abroad, but here in Ireland too.
