6.1.2023 – Woman suing Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler says she was coerced into having an abortion

Steven Tyler, the lead singer of American rock group Aerosmith, is being sued by a woman who claims they had a sexual relationship when she was 16 years old. The lawsuit accuses Tyler of sexual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Rolling Stone magazine reports that the lawsuit also alleges that he forced her to have an abortion.

The woman suing Tyler is Julia Holcomb. Today, she is a well known pro-life advocate and was the keynote speaker at the Pro Life Campaign’s National Conference in the RDS, Dublin in 2014.

At the conference, she spoke about the devastating effect the late term abortion had on her and the horrifying detail that her baby survived the abortion and was left to die.

The lawsuit against Tyler has been filed under the California Child Victims Act, under which the statute of limitations is temporarily lifted at present for survivors of childhood abuse.

For more than a decade, Julia Holcomb has been a committed pro-life campaigner and assists the work of groups like Silent No More which consists of women who regret their abortions and publicly share their testimonies. The group also provides support to women who are searching for hope and healing after their abortions.
