Strong Pro-Life Record
Candidate with a solid pro-life voting record at national and/or local level as a public representative; or candidate who has not had an opportunity to vote on right to life issues at local or national level but who are known to be actively pro-life and replied satisfactorily to our questions on our 2024 election questionnaire.
Pro-Life
Candidate responded satisfactorily to our questions on our 2024 election questionnaire; or candidate has publicly expressed support for the pro-life position but has no public record of activism; or candidate is standing on behalf of a political party with a pro-life policy position.
Mixed record
Candidate with a mixed voting record on abortion/euthanasia but has made some helpful public comments by expressing support for moderate pro-life measures and/or voicing helpful criticisms of the abortion regime; and/or provided mixed replies to our 2024 election questionnaire.
Supports Abortion

Candidate has a pro-abortion voting/activity record or is standing for a party with a pro-abortion policy position or has answered our questionnaire unsatisfactorily.

Position Unclear
Candidate didn’t respond to our questionnaire and we have no other public record of their stance on abortion/euthanasia. The failure of any candidate to publicly declare their stance on something as important as the right-to-life is in our view unacceptable and ought to be factored in when we go to vote.

If you are an election candidate and have not had an opportunity to answer our questionnaire, please get in touch with us by email to elections@prolifecampaign.ie.

Please note we will be updating these pages based on new information received until election day.
